A SHOT AT FACEBOOK ADVERTISING

In order to advertise my epic western trilogy (Alias Jeannie Delaney - specifically Book 1), we - PA husband and I - decided to try a bit of Facebook Advertising.

It took a fair bit of work. Hubby worked through a tutorial courtesy of Matt Holmes, who manages his author wife's Lori Holmes' writing business, and the images and text he produced for her fantasy books. He led hubby through the process, and hubby led me through it, asking for three images and pieces of text that, when put together in various different ways, produced twelve pieces of advertising.

It took a lot of work. I had to create three images to suit Book 1 - Go West, Girl! plus the text to go with them. I found images I was happy with to represent Jeannie on AI art generators (once upon a time I wouldn't have been happy with any AI images - ' - but that's not Jeannie!' I've clearly improved). Using Canva, we placed images and text together into three ads which will be juggled later by Facebook. I'm rather pleased with the results, and now we're getting sales and readers are steaming through Kindle Unlimited.

As Matt Holmes says, you have to be patient, but through Facebook's advertising system, the images will be directed to the right readers. It's long term advertising. Let's see what happens.
