THE WRITING OF AN EPIC WESTERN TRILOGY & THE BIG BANG END OF BOOK 3

THE WRITING OF AN EPIC WESTERN TRILOGY
 & A BIG BANG ENDING OF BOOK 3 ...

... with the brainstormed help of AI.

If anyone has read and (hopefully) enjoyed  Alias Jeannie Delaney - Book 1 - Go West, Girl! and Book 2 - The Outlaw's Return, and looking forward to Book 3, I'm currently working like a good 'un on it, particularly the ending.

It's going to take longer than I originally thought because I had a touch of author burnout this year. Books 1 and 2 were launched during the summer last year and the year before and proved extremely successful for such a niche subject. I've accrued well over one thousand, three hundred and sixty readers, and approaching fifty 5 star reviews and ratings. But because I've had to take things a little more slowly due to mental health issues, the launch of Book 3 will be a little later than that - with the help of AI.

AI can be a very controversial subject when used improperly, but sometimes it's damn useful, and I'm using it to help construct what I'm anticipating as a sensational ending of Book 3.

AI came into its own. The original ending had to be 'tweaked' - my PA plot bunny hubby and I agreed that the original ending didn't quite pass the muster. Nice ending, but we're not looking for 'nice'. 'Nice' doesn't hack it. I needed to intensify the stakes. The climactic ending is to do or die, and I needed to weave an alternative approach into the timeline. Whoever said that writing was easy? Nobody actually.

So I brainstormed three AI platforms with ideas gleaned between us - hubby, AI (thank it nicely - it's only human) and me to see what each platform would come up with, and boy - did they deliver! I took the answers that hit the right note and lit up my brain -  *ping* - and tweaked them - choosing alternative words and grammar structure - to my satisfaction. No copying and pasting. Bad. It's no worse than asking your nearest and dearest or trusted PA to brainstorm with you.

AI is almost instantaneous. It searches everything and everywhere on the internet and sends the information or ideas to you tout-de-suite. You yourself can only do so much. Or it will take your ideas and work them into alternative approaches. You use your own voice to transcribe and juggle AI's grammar and sentences into results for your writing. I melded them into something that would inspire me. AI doesn't use my voice, so a couple of times I've said: 'Jeannie (my protagonist) would never say that!' So one has to tweak merrily away. AI definitely can't use your voice.

I'm not giving any hints as to the ending of the trilogy - merely to add that I'm anticipating a big bonkers bang.

I've very mixed feelings about the ending. On the one hand I think: 'Thank goodness it's finished at long last!' On the other hand I'm not looking forward to it because of how I might feel. Possible post ending depression since I'm wired that way? It's not inevitable. It may not happen. I'd like to think it won't. Whether or not it happens, I have super plans in looking forward to Jeannie's future. I certainly can't stop there. Oh, no...

THE END!

A WESTERN WITH A CURVE IN THE CREEK

- A BIT OF A TWIST - AND IT'S ONE HELL OF AN EMOTIONAL RIDE!

Dynamic pants-wearing cowgirl Jeannie Morgan is the fastest gun west of the Mississippi - her draw is snake strike fast - and her sexuality is as fluid as a miner's whiskey. Both men & women enjoy her magnificent lovemaking, but this is a matter best kept under the bedsheets. One day she's found out ....

She's born in vibrant New Orleans in 1865 and strongly rebels against the upbringing of a Victorian girl. The family head west where she finds her true calling on her Pa's ranch. However, the explosive combination of her tomboy beauty, her powerful, charismatic persona and her lethal gun begin to conspire against her. Will those very qualities see her through to a charismatic conclusion or will people achieve their desire to see her out or dead?
