SO MANY ALIASES!

So many aliases. I'm Jo (Bennett). I'm Jo Ballantyne, I'm Kit MacKenzie and I'm kitty Le Roy.

I started out as Jo Bennett. As a teenager I became fascinated in the wild west - some of my family went west during the 1890s. As my interest evolved I became even more fascinated by the feisty, gritty women who took on traditionally male roles. Later on in life I began to emulate a western woman and donned cowgirl kit, including a holster and Colt revolver. I accumulated more western kit including a Bowie knife and Winchester rifle. I loved it! Finally, after I met hubby, I decided I needed a western handle/alias. I became Kitty Le Roy, a factual well armed wild west woman who gambled and shot dead husband number five. She'll do, I thought, I'll be Kitty. Kitty was also my paternal granny, who was a lot like me. Since those early days I've discovered numerous other wild west women, but Kitty kind of stuck.

In order to speed up the story, I'll jump to Kit MacKenzie.

My novel Alias Jeannie Delaney is close to being published on Amazon.reached the point of requiring an editor. I decided I wanted a pen name. The story contains adult juicy bits so I decided on Kit for my first name, then, upon intensive Google browsing, discovered Mackenzie as a surname. The only other Kit Mackenzie was a male cinematographer, so that was a safe bet. I didn't want to choose a name owned already by another writer.

My third handle is Jo Ballantyne. A while ago I had decided that I'd love an artist brand/identity. I like my name Jo, and because this blog name is Jo B Creative (the B from Bennett), I chose Ballantyne because I like the name a lot and kept returning to it. Again I checked on other Jo Ballantynes and discovered Jo Ballantyne, make up artist. That's okay then.

 PLASTER SCULPTURE

So there we have it.

Throughout my life I've had different identities. Wild west woman, hippy artist, rock chick. Steampunk and Goth. I like them all in different degrees, but as I've grown older, wild west, rock and Goth have gained a hold. Yo girl!

GOTH!

STEAMPUNKING!

I donned black lipstick for Halloween last year and really liked it, and because steampunk has grabbed us - me and hubby - I'm tempted to wear it all the time. Maybe I'll just stick to metal adorned leather bracelets and choker.

HALLOWEEN!

Who knows what's next? I can change with the wind.

Before I go, here's the link to Alias Jeannie Delaney - Book 1 - Go West, girl! on Amazon, which has two five star reviews from Booksprout and excellent reviews from my readers:
